A familiar live chat with names, timestamps, emoji and saved drafts. Switch to Dashboard for sync and participants, or More for room controls.

Watch your way.

The host can enable Everyone can control in Dashboard while keeping room ownership. Shared controls require 0.4.0 or newer for everyone. Scroll sharing is off by default. Close the extension panel and keep watching; synchronization continues.

Downloads & installation

Install lkjparty from your browser's extension store. Both participants should use the same extension version. Reload your shared tabs after updating, then start a new party.

Chrome / Edge development ZIP: extract it, open the extensions manager, enable Developer mode and choose Load unpacked. Pin lkjparty to the toolbar.

Firefox development ZIP: extract the unsigned package and load its manifest from about:debugging. Temporary add-ons expire at browser restart. Use Firefox Add-ons above for regular installation. Safari requires macOS, Xcode conversion and signing.

Website access & what is shared

On your first connection, choose whether to allow all websites or individual sites. A permission grant does not share all your tabs: only the selected shared tab is synchronized. Review or revoke access in More or your browser’s extension settings.

Your name, selected URL, enabled synchronization state and chat are visible to the room server and participants. Pointer and application-state sharing are optional. Application integrations need a compatible adapter.

Each person needs their own service access. DRM, inaccessible embeds, live timelines or different layouts may limit synchronization.
